Show Notes

James, welcome to the “Mental Game”, thank you for connecting with us.

James Gardiner has a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Health Science and is a Certified Athletic Therapist via the CATA and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist via the NSCA, James also holds the designation of Yoga Teacher through the International Vedanta Centres in Sivananda Hatha yoga.

James has led presentations at the provincial level, national level and in universities on multiple continents. He has held professional positions with the Toronto Blue Jays, York University, University of the Bahamas and is the founder of FIRSTAR Therapy - a philosophy and approach to sport performance,  training and rehabilitation that places emphasis on education and empowerment of the athlete.

James believes that we are connected mind and body. How we act off the court or ice is a reflection of how we conduct ourselves all of the time. If we practice mindfulness or self awareness our athletes have better connectedness, concentration which translates to a more successful athletic career and a heather one.
